Membership Application (Online)
We recommend you read this entire page before making an application for membership.

Note 1 - Your membership with VARMS will initially be a two-year probationary membership.
Note 2 - Your Membership Application Approval will expire after 3 months. If you haven't joined in that time you will be required to complete the application process again.
Note 3 - Induction Sessions are booked once each month. If you miss the booking period you will have to wait till the next month to complete the joining process.
Membership Application for VARMS - Step by Step
Step 1 - Visit the Club and find a member to nominate you for membership
- VARMS requires a current financial member of the club to nominate you for membership.
- If you don't have a Nominating Member then visit the Club.
- Get to know someone you can ask to nominate you.
Step 2 - Complete the Online Membership Application Form
- Click the link above and fill in the Membership Application (Online) form.
- Submit the Application and you will immediately receive an email with a link to click to confirm your email address.
- Click the link or copy and paste it in your web browser and you will receive a message informing you your email address is confirmed.
- Check your email and email Junk or Spam folders.
- If you don't confirm your email address your application won't be registered.
Step 3 - Wait for the Club Registrar to confirm that your Membership Application has been registered
- You will receive an email letting you know your Membership Application has been registered.
- The email will clarify any details required and remind you of the next steps to take.
Step 4 - Introduce yourself to a Committee member
- The Committee review and approve new Member Applications at the monthly Committee meeting.
- VARMS requires a Committee member to comment favourably regarding your application at the monthly Committee meeting.
- Find a Committee member or two at the club and introduce yourself.
- Find one that plans to be at the next Committee meeting so they can comment in your favour at the meeting.
- If you are already known by members of the Committee then you can omit this step.
Step 5 - Wait for the Committee decision regarding your Membership Application
- Check the VARMS Event Calendar (Link) to see when the next Committee meeting will be held.
- The Committee will review and consider your Membership Application at the meeting.
Step 6 - The Club Registrar will contact you
- The Club Registrar will contact you and inform you of the Committee's decision regarding your Membership Application.
- If you have been approved for membership you will continue on to Join the Club!
Step 7 - Join the Club!
- Pay your membership fees - The Registrar will send you an email with the details you need to access the Membership website and pay your membership fees.
- Your Membership Application Approval will expire after 3 months. If you haven't joined in that time you will be required to complete the application process again.
- When your fees have been paid the Registrar will add you as a VARMS member in the MAAA Register.
- Once added to the MAAA Register, the club President will send you an email informing you of your membership status and invite you to a club Induction Session.
Step 8 - Get Oriented and attend an Induction Session
- You will be required to attend the Induction Session where you will receive our club rules book, site maps, your member card and some other goodies. Check the VARMS Event Calendar (Link) for session times.
- Induction Sessions are booked once each month. If you miss the booking period you will have to wait till the next month to complete the joining process.
